the foundation was created In Memory of Andy Lawniczek

11/15/1976 - 12/28/2020

"There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone the light remains."

"Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us everyday unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear."

Andy passed away unexpectedly on December 28th, 2020 at his home. He was a beloved son, father, brother and friend.

Andy was born in Binghamton, NY to Karen Vandervort-Shapiro and John Lawniczek on November 15, 1976. He attended the Chenango Forks School District and graduated from the University of Buffalo. He worked in sales for Glenair for 13 years. Andy was foremost a family man and was an amazing friend to many. He will be remembered for his big smile and an even bigger heart. He was always reaching out to others, willing to lend a hand or just to check in. His three children (Madison, Ella and Camden) were his pride and joy, and the loves of his life. His world revolved around them.

He was a die-hard Yankees fan and loved all sports, as a player and as a spectator, and especially enjoyed watching his children’s sporting events. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing (even though it drove him nuts), campfires, fireworks, and cooking.

He was an amazing brother to Brian (Miriam) Lawniczek and his sister Stephanie Lawniczek. He maintained a solid network of lifelong friends, many of whom started this foundation in his memory.
